- Activity: Learn the fundamentals of linocut printmaking in this 5 week class. The class will include an introduction to tools and materials, printing methods, creating texture, shading & values, printing with color. All participants will have the opportunity to carve and print multiple blocks over the course of the class. Participants will have plenty of self directed time at the presses. - Activity: This workshop will be an introduction to the printing process mokuhanga, which uses water-based pigments, a kento registration method, and hand printing with a baren. Participants will learn about tools and materials, and the carving and printing methods associated with this process.
