Terms of use
Short, because there is not much to agree to. You can read the whole site without signing in; an account exists only for a business claiming its own listing.

What this is
A free guide to events and places across the Wasatch Front, assembled from public calendars published by cities, county departments, libraries and venues. Every listing links back to its source. The limitations of these listings are described below.
Check before you travel
Events are cancelled, postponed and moved between our checks, and not every organiser updates their own calendar when it happens. Confirm the details with the organiser before making plans, using the link on the listing. No warning on a listing does not mean an event is definitely going ahead.
Listings belong to whoever published them
Titles, descriptions and images belong to the organisers. We reproduce enough to tell you what is on and then send you to the original. If you publish events and would rather we did not list them, tell us and we will remove them the same day. No explanation needed.
Removing a photo, an event or a listing
You can ask us to remove a photo, an event or a whole listing. Use the removal request form, or email [email protected] with the subject "Removal request". Tell us:
- what to remove, with a link to the page it is on (for a photo, the photo's own address if you have it);
- how you are connected to it: you own or run the business, organise the event, or took the photo or hold its rights;
- how we can reach you.
What happens next. A person reads every request. We remove listings and events the same day. We act on photo requests as soon as we have read them, normally the same day. If you give an email address, we email you a receipt when the request arrives and the decision when it is made, with our reason if we decide not to remove something. We cannot send these to a phone number. If you manage a business on WasatchNext through a verified account, you can remove your own listing's photos yourself, and they come off your listing straight away. If the same photo also appears elsewhere on WasatchNext, the rest of your request goes to a person, like any other request, and we email you the decision.
What a removal covers. Removing a photo removes it wherever it appears on WasatchNext. Removing an event also removes the same event at the same venue when it comes back on another date or repeats under the same name, and when it is renamed but keeps its own page on the organiser's site and its date and time. Removing a listing removes the business's page and its photos, and keeps it from being added again from the map data we use; the events held there are listed by their organisers, so ask about those separately.
How fast it disappears. Once we remove something, our pages stop showing it as soon as they reload, and our API stops returning it within a minute. A removal stays in place: our collectors do not put it back the next time they visit the source.
Copies we cannot recall. We cannot pull back copies other people made before the removal. That includes previews social networks stored when someone shared one of our pages, and data apps or other services already fetched from our API. Our API terms tell those services to drop what we no longer return, but we do not control them.
Copyright agent. Pending: a registered copyright (DMCA) agent has not been designated yet. That decision is waiting on WasatchNext and its legal counsel. Until one is named here, send copyright notices to [email protected] and we handle them as described above.
What we ask of you
Use the site normally. Do not hammer it at a rate that degrades it for other people. If you want the data in bulk, ask us; we will probably just give it to you.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We try to be accurate and we publish our contact us so you can see when we are not. We are not liable for a wasted journey.
Changes
These terms change when the site does. The date at the top moves when the substance does, not when the wording is tidied.
Contact
Questions and corrections go to the same place: get in touch. Removal requests can also use the removal request form.
